This study aims to describe syntactic level errors in the essays of seventh grade students SMP PGRI 1 Kediri use sentences. research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The this was conducted depth and detail obtain clear description sentences students' essay writing. In study, data were collected through reading, recording, interviewing teachers students. collection procedure consists preparation stage, collection, analysis, presentation analysis results. Data techniques include identification, categorization, presentation, conclusion drawing. results show that make writing sentence structure which includes four aspects. Based on findings, it proves factors causing language are due less attention grammar writing, lack vocabulary owned by students, pay provide exercises.
